Morning Service

At 10.30am almost every Sunday, there is a service that we simply call Morning Service.

On the first Sunday of each month, this is an all-age service; on the other Sundays, children go to Sunday Special for part of the service while the adults remain in the church.

This service is enjoyed by young and old alike, and has a less formal style than the Sung Communion service. In all, the service lasts between 45 minutes and an hour.

We make sure we use everyday language throughout, so that even those who have not been to church for some time feel at home. The emphasis on the preaching is on hearing the Bible's message in today's world, with practical application. The music is contemporary in style, and features the best of the old hymns along with more recently written music.

The Morning Service is not usually a Communion service, although about 8 times a year the service is followed by an optional informal Communion for those who wish to stay on.

You are welcome, any time from 10am, to join us for coffee in the church hall; this gives us the chance to catch up with one another, and also to meet friends who attend the 9.15 service.

See our Sunday Services page for details of other services.
